Emma Rabbit Doll
Emma Rabbit's favorite holiday is definitely May Day. She has been collecting Maypole ribbons all year. And every Wednesday afternoon at Village Dancing Practice, she teaches special May Day dances to the other animals. She says she learns them from various sources but also invents new ones.
Emma is made from ivory-colored organic cotton fleece. She measures 15" tall. Her ears are lined with pink striped cotton, and her face is hand embroidered with cotton embroidery floss. She is safe for babies because there are no parts they could rip off and eat. Emma is stuffed with washable polyfill, so if she gets dirty you can hand wash her in warm water.
Emma's dress is made from lovely Liberty of London combed cotton. It closes with velcro in back. It is removable so the animals can share and trade.
Emma will come to you in a reusable cotton bag, perfumed with a lavender and mint sachet.

Hazel Village started in 2010 as a creative project by maker and designer Jan Van Cleef. One day she made a toy that she would have liked as a child out of scraps in the front room of her apartment in Brooklyn. She started making more for friends and started listing her dolls on Etsy, each with its own little outfit and back story. In the years since, she has expanded her business by finding responsible makers and never sacrificing heirloom quality at a reasonable price. Hazel Village is named after the American Hazelnut tree: a source of delicious nuts, magical divining rods, useful twigs for basketry, and food for caterpillars.
