Lucas Rabbit Doll
Even thought Lucas Rabbit's real name is Lucas, his friends call him Pummy. He says it's because when he was a newborn and his sister was a toddler, she called him Pummy for some reason. Anyway, his favorite activity is digging holes in the pond beach so he can make swamp forts.
Pummy is made from brown organic cotton fleece with a soft flannel texture. His nose and tail are natural colored fleece, and his ears are lined with cotton shirting stripe. The stripes in his ears might be a little smaller than the ones pictured. He measures 15" including ears. His eyes and nose are hand stitched with cotton thread. He is stuffed with washable polyfill so he can be hand washed if he gets dirty (you know how those swamp forts can be....)
Pummy's romper is made of "stormy gray" organic cotton/hemp blend. It's ideal for a baby because it's hard to tear off, and it has no hard components that could fall off. It closes with velcro in the back, and it has a place for an animal's tail to stick out. It is removable so Pummy can share and trade clothes with the other Hazel Village animals.
Your Pummy will travel to you in a reusable cotton bag, with a delightful smelling lavender and mint sachet tucked inside.

Hazel Village started in 2010 as a creative project by maker and designer Jan Van Cleef. One day she made a toy that she would have liked as a child out of scraps in the front room of her apartment in Brooklyn. She started making more for friends and started listing her dolls on Etsy, each with its own little outfit and back story. In the years since, she has expanded her business by finding responsible makers and never sacrificing heirloom quality at a reasonable price. Hazel Village is named after the American Hazelnut tree: a source of delicious nuts, magical divining rods, useful twigs for basketry, and food for caterpillars.
