Macramé Wall Hanging with Savvie Studio - 8/5
Join us as we learn about the craft of macramé, and create beautiful macramé wall art.
Macramé is believed to have originated with 13th-century Arab weavers. These artisans knotted the excess thread and yarn along the edges of hand-loomed fabrics into decorative fringes on bath towels, shawls, and veils.
During this workshop, participants will learn several universal macramé knots that can be used time and time again for many applications. No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. Students will leave with a finished wall hanger, and directions on how to make and design your own macramé pieces again and again.
The class will be taught by Savannah of Savvie Studio and hosted by Gifted. Savannah is an artist and maker based out of Denton, Texas.
