This Limited Edition version of this classic knife is made with French Plane Wood and there are only 500 available to purchase in the U.S.!
The Opinel knife is named after the Opinel Family from the Savoie region in the heart of the French Alps. In 1890, Joseph Opinel invented a small folding knife that would eventually become a must-have item of French "savoir-vivre" (living a good life while staying elegant and smart).
Today the classic Opinel folding knife with its Virobloc safety ring is a design icon and is still made in France.
