Phoebe Fawn Doll
As twilight falls on Hazel Village and the crickets of evening begin to chirp, the animal friends meet Phoebe Fawn in the field for orchestra practice. Phoebe is the Village Orchestra conductor and concert master. She says her instrument is the pan flute, which never goes flat, and which an industrious animal can play even if she has hooves.
Phoebe is made of organic cotton fleece in a lovely shade of caramel brown. She measures 14" tall. Her hooves are made of dark brown organic cotton knit, and her tail is natural organic fleece. Her spots are printed with a technique that keeps the fabric's natural softness, and her face is hand embroidered with cotton thread. She is stuffed with washable polyfill.
Phoebe's tunic is made of natural colored organic cotton jersey. It has a cute gathered detail in front and a velcro closure in back. It is removable so Phoebe can change her clothes and share with the other Hazel Village animals.
Phoebe will come your way in a reusable muslin bag, perfumed with a lavender and mint sachet. She says the sweet aromas have inspired her to compose a new piece, which is called The Bees of July. Lovely!

Hazel Village started in 2010 as a creative project by maker and designer Jan Van Cleef. One day she made a toy that she would have liked as a child out of scraps in the front room of her apartment in Brooklyn. She started making more for friends and started listing her dolls on Etsy, each with its own little outfit and back story. In the years since, she has expanded her business by finding responsible makers and never sacrificing heirloom quality at a reasonable price. Hazel Village is named after the American Hazelnut tree: a source of delicious nuts, magical divining rods, useful twigs for basketry, and food for caterpillars.
